THE PERFECT WEAPON AGAINST THE MUNCHIES
In Canada, and probably other Anglo-Saxon countries, the munchies is the moment in which you have the sudden urge to eat everything in site. Including what is not yours. Some have the munchies after smoking a little something-something, but if you are anything like my brother and I, you get the munchies on a regular basis. The munchies have the capacity to turn us into chocolate and carb monsters. My brother and I have tried for years to combat it, but every time is comes, we cave in. Today was no exception. Lesson learned: if you cannot beat them, join them.
FIG AND CHOCOLATE SANDWICH
Total time: 5 minutes
Makes: 1 sandwich
- 1 - 2 slices of bread
- 1 fig, fresh
- spoonful of chocolate spread or almond butter
- handful of berries and fruits
Rinse the fruits and slice the figs. On a slice of bread, spread the chocolate and decorate with fruits. If you wish, sprinkle icing sugar.
Repeat until you are full.
